That industry is dead. The unbelievable bad publicity it has received in recent weeks will not be soon forgotten. It will not recover. Countries the world over refusing/reluctant to allow the poor bastards trapped aboard those Petri Dishes to dock and disembark and the sheer panic of those trapped on board is something they are very unlikely to recover from.

Agree, and I suspect the cruise companies had that figured out with the Japan boat. So, at this point, they are simply collecting as much cash as possible for their execs before they go Chapter 7.
By the way, there was some Mensa babe on this site with a cruise planned later this month. I told her at the beginning of March that it probably wasn’t such a good idea these days. Her response was that her superior intelligence (relative to mine) told her that going on the cruise would be fine. Wonder how she’s doing?
