From that link, under the ‘Impartial juries’ section (yes, I know it’s wordy):

“The right to a jury has always depended on the nature of the offense with which the defendant is charged. Petty offenses—those punishable by imprisonment for no more than six months—are not covered by the jury requirement. Even where multiple petty offenses are concerned, the total time of imprisonment possibly exceeding six months, the right to a jury trial does not exist.”

But the 6th Amendment says NOTHING about petty offenses. Nothing! If you are charged with a criminal offense, you are supposed to get a jury trial, period.

This is not very clear to me. Hizzoner rescinded a social distancing order, but what is allowed?

Are you familiar with north Georgia and the mountain towns in it?

Black people were not welcome even in the early 90’s, it was very dangerous for blacks (and probably still is to some extent)

You appear to be correct.
It has been determined.

I have lived in Georgia all of my 68 years.
I don’t know where you are from, but I know you are full of crap.

You must consider ignorance a virtue. Have you ever heard of a sunset town? Not uncommon in the mid century south. But Forsyth county was legendary:

I won’t bore you with personal anecdotes. I will, however, correct one detail. It was the 1960 Census that showed 4 Blacks in the county.

"A huge sticking point in the order was the appointment of special policemen to help enforce the order. Under the city charter, the mayor can appoint special policemen during times of emergency. I said in our press release that I would swear in up to 150 policemen," Brumbalow wrote in his post. "I was looking at a worst case scenario caused by the pandemic as our police department has 18 officers. I can see that I didn't communicate our thoughts and intentions clearly enough. People reacted strongly on social media thinking we were becoming a police state. That was never the intent."

Or - they told him...

North Georgia? I lived in Atlanta for 11 years and my grandmother had a house on the Toccoa River (Blue Ridge) for decades. I know exactly what I am talking about.

South Ga and Middle GA and Atlanta Suburbs are a different story.
