I am treating myself for a spider bite, more than likely brown recluse.

Ouch. Yeah, those suck. Of course, it turned out that the BR's that stung me *died*, that'll l'arn 'em!

Good luck, been there, done that. You can find a lot of home remedies on the NET. You’ll need something to absorb the poison because it won’t dissipate on its own, it will just keep spreading (which is why the wounds can grow so big).

If you can catch it early. soaking it in bleach might counteract the poison (depends on the bug, but bleach does that for a lot of insect bites).

You have my sympathy. I went to proverbial war with them a few years ago and have not seen them since. Glue traps in ‘reclusive’ parts of basement and attic.

Go to the Doctor! I was bitten and left it for two days. When I did go to the Doctor, he cut out the bite mark and put me on antibiotics immediately. I still have itching twinges at the site 20 years later. I wonder if some of the toxin attaches to the nerve root. If you leave it, it can get really bad.
