I’ve been following this site every day and watching the number of treated patients go up with only that very first death showing up. None since then.

I don’t know how effective this substance is, anecdotal evidence is enough for the FDA to have approved it for some use, which I believe they should have done long ago.

But we know it is safe for human consumption under a physician’s supervision. It has been used for decades. It is safe.

In a situation where people who are at risk and either failing to respond or getting worse, I see no reason to wait for a medical publication to publish.

And scientific publication with “peer review” is largely a corrupt joke these days. Scientific rigor no longer exists in a way that justifies the happy stamp of “Peer Reviewed”.

If it were me or a loved one in that hospital bed, given the conditions, and given that we may irreparably destroy this world economy including ours if we let this go on indefinitely, I am all for giving this substance, prophylactic, placebo, cure or not.

Just my opinion. I understand that the substance is not totally without risk, but in a risk vs. benefit analysis, I don’t even think there is a question it should be approved.

“And the Journal with impeccable credentials that has agreed to accept this work and rush it into print is?”

that’ll be the little candle placed on top of the cake icing when that finally occurs ... in the mean time FDA as given it’s approval to treat C-19 with these drugs and, as of the moment, there are currently 269 medical papers published in the last 3 months regarding C-19 treatment with these drugs:

https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2020/03/29/hhs-accepts-donations-of-medicine-to-strategic-national-stockpile-as-possible-treatments-for-covid-19-patients.html

https://scholar.google.com/scholar?as_ylo=2020&q=hydroxychloroquine+covid-19+OR+coronavirus&hl=en&as_sdt=0,6&as_vis=1

and of course, let’s not forget the tens of thousands of lives being saved while we wait for the journal with impeccable credentials to publish said perfect paper ...

btw, there’s large amounts of information that show that these impeccable journals publish large amounts of worthless (and sometimes fraudulent) trash, and other data shows large numbers of doctors don’t believe much of what is published, particularly given that so many of the published studies and so many of these journals are largely financed by big pharma ...
