“I just looked up how many die normally in the US and the quote is 109 per day.”
The daily average body count is around 6,500 to 7,000 in the US from all causes.
109 is a middlin’ flu day for in-season flu deaths.
Over 666 (!) died of CCP-19 yesterday. Six flu days stacked on top of each other. Been trending up for a week.
Is it going to take a 7,000 death day to wake people up?
“One state shut everything up till the day after the Republican convention... think it was VA.. not sure .. now, isnt that convenient.”
President Trump has already secured the nomination. All the challengers have dropped out, not that any were ever a threat. Looks like everybody in VA will have time to watch the Republican Convention on TV.
“Ive lived in quite a few bad times in this country and Ive never seen the streets emptied and everything closed. for what reason is it that way now...to stop the virus.. and what about the ones prior to this one.... it just does not make sense to me..”
Well, first, t’s NOT the flu. But for comparison purposes, the last pandemic, in 2009: In the first month following the first death from H1N1 in the US, 10-15 people died from H1N1 in the US. In the first month following the first death from CCP-19 in the US, about 3,400 people died from CCP-19 in the US.
And people are still dying from the flu, too, as well as all the regular causes.
So, there you have it.
Yeah, that number was pretty small, compared.. so they should give the deaths from the virus..most do not know how many die a day.. and it looks like it’s real bad ....just put it in perspective..
and I’m old enough to have lived through a lot and the streets have never been bare like they are now. It puts the scare in folks who don’t know why it’s all falling apart over this one... I’ve heard some say it’s the end... it must seem so to them, because it’s something that changes the day and life.
