Per the NY Times, as China moves forward with expelling almost all American journalists from three major American newspapers, Trump administration officials have intensified discussions over whether to evict employees of Chinese media outlets who they say mainly act as spies. The action is under consideration because some U.S. officials want to retaliate against China in a new conflict that has revolved around news organizations and is being fueled by hostility over the coronavirus pandemic.

And get those Chinese nationals OUT of our colleges, especially in the PhD programs. Hubby had to deal with them when at Berkeley and they were evil cheaters. And now we know they’re actual spies and thieves. Leave our colleges for Americans. If China is so great and (they think) superior, let them learn there.
As far as I am concerned, he can expel all Chinese and the media along with them.

Good point, China’s media is likely more pro-American than our own, since they get to see the other side, rather than relying on their professors to tell them how wonderful it is.
