The Cincinnati Bengals currently hold the #1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft which they will almost assuredly use to select Joe Burrow. The Miami Dolphins might like to acquire that pick and player according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald. One of the NFL's draft analysts also toyed with the idea of the Dolphins moving up for Burrow in a recent mock draft.
Salguero has been saying the Dolphins would "try" to move up to land Burrow for weeks. Today, he tweeted that a source told the Herald the team would "attempt" to trade up in the draft. The teams don't appear to be in any type of negotiations, despite the Dolphins' healthy stockpile of high picks in the April draft. (Picks No. 5, 18, 26, 39, 56, and 70 if you were curious.)

It’s sad. Burrow has so much potential. But he may be ruined if he gets on one of these terrible teams. People don’t realize how much a quarterback succeeds can depend on the team he starts fine. David Carr could have been a great quarterback but he was on a terrible Houston team where he was getting sacked every other play.
If Brady had been on that team he probably never would have been a successful quarterback.
A top QB pick is the centerpiece of a rebuilding NFL franchise. Its invaluable and the whole “raison d’etre” for a GM in that position.
I can’t see the Dolphins, or anyone, having literally anything of greater value which would change that.
A little bread and circus might not be unhealthy, because 24x7 Coronavirus stuff most certainly is unhealthy.
I regard nearly anything on FR that is non-coronavirus related to be helpful in that respect, no matter how inane it seems.
And there is plenty of that.
Not sure but don’t think that would go over well in Cincinnati.
I’d say they’re being pretty optimistic about there even being a 2020 football season.
The Dolphins were expected to lose every game last year. They screwed up and won too many. Now they have to pay to move up in the draft.
However, the Dolphin’s owner is putting up the money to build a championship team.
A top QB pick is wasted on a team that does not have the means to protect him. Brady wasn’t even a top QB pick. But he had one heck of an offensive line for many years.
I agree. The best thing to ever happen to Brady was going in the sixth round.
I meant to add a smiley to that. And I agree, I was just kinda messin’ with y’all.
Look at it this way. Your team stinks and has so for a few years. You were just the 3rd lowest scoring team in the NFL with the worst record. You have told fans to be patient while you rebuild.
If you are an owner, or GM, try telling your fans: We are NOT going to draft the #1 QB, Hiesman winner and college champion. We are going to TRADE that and see if we can figure something else out.

Bradshaw was drafted by a terrible Steelers team and then there was Steeler Nation.
If I had the #1 pick, I would take Burrow’s former teammate, Chase Young.
There are some decent QB’s in this draft.
Trouble is, you often get the dangerous combo of a talented QB and a porous O line.

The Dolphins will continue to bleaux, even with Jeaux.
They wouldn’t get him. Redskins #2, Lions #3, Giants #4 . . . one would claim him before the #5 pick Miami would exchange in round 1
