NY
Coronavirus has now killed a total of 1,550 people across the state of New York an increase of 332 people in just 24 hours. The grim figure was revealed by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo at a press conference Tuesday, and rose sharply from the 1,218 killed over the preceding 24 hours. Governor Cuomo said an extra 9,220 people had tested positive for coronavirus since Monday, bringing the total number of Covid-19 diagnoses across his state to more than 76,000. During Tuesdays press conference, Governor Cuomo said 10,929 people have now been hospitalized across New York with coronavirus an increase of 1,412 in 24 hours. He added that 2,710 of those patients are in intensive care, an increase of 358 overnight. The updates from New York currently the worlds leading coronavirus hotspot mean the US has almost 175,000 coronavirus diagnoses.
Comment: so I tried a couple of times to listen to the Brooklyn scanner and I really need a translator to understand half of it, lol. Of course, we have someone that sounds like Earnest T. Bass on our local dispatch today (here in GA) and hes not much better lol
GA
COVID-19 Confirmed Cases: No. Cases (%)
Total 3817 (100%)
Hospitalized 818(21.43%)
Deaths 108 (2.83%)
Good news - our fatality rate dropped some. Praying its a trend! In a local interview a woman mentioned being given a drug in the hospital that they said would keep her organs from shutting down. Could it be HCQ?
Cuomo also spoke about procuring ventilators and how he was being ‘outbid’ by other states. Which raises two questions:
1) CCP controls all production. Why is the CCP allowing one of their companies to bid out a critical piece of equipment, when they caused this pandemic?
2) why is Cuomo sourcing from CCP, when a) he has ventilators ‘in a warehouse’, and b) we have GM, Tesla, and half a dozen other American companies already retooled and producing ventilators in bulk? and c) his state’s medical staff don’t have PPE because of CCP
The disclaimer is that I am commenting before reading the entire thread of posts, which means it’s likely that someone has already commented on this glaring error.
>>> and rose sharply from the 1,218 killed over the preceding 24 hours. <<<
So... 332 deaths in 24 hours is a sharp rise from 1,218 deaths in 24 hours? Huh? If there actually were 1,218 deaths in 24 hours, then 332 deaths in 24 hours would NOT be a sharp rise.
That’s a lot of killing (1,218) in 24 hours, and a lot of rising sharply. So much for proofreading these days.
