He was sucking his teeth at Helen’s lunch counter. He said, “Tuna.” Helen said, “Roy, that was two days ago.” Roy said, “So?”

Lloyd was my favorite on that show, along with “...this is my brother Daryl, and my other brother Daryl.”

He was still alive? Ha. I would have bet he had been gone for a while.

Wings is definitely in my top 10 favorite comedies. I actually liked it better than Cheers. But Community and Arrested Development are still number 1 and 2, in no particular order.

Yes he was memorable but it takes some sleuthing to track their name down. :)

I have a ROKU “Premier+” device that sits between my router my TV. I use an ethernet/RJ45 cable from the router to the ROKU and a HDMI cable from the ROKU to my TV (not a “smartTV”). I think USB versions of a ROKU device is available - differences in the processor, 4K, etc but they all do pretty much the same thing.

Generally speaking, you need a 20MB internet speed to keep buffering to a minimum.

ROKU has a “Pluto” app that’s free.

LOTS of channels but most are low quality programming.

Amazon’s “IMDB” channel using ROKU’s “Prime” app is free with lots of good stuff. I discovered “Warehouse 13”, a 5-season series that is quite entertaining.

Wings was sorta touted as the heir to Cheers, they ran concurrently for several years. Had some great out there characters and was a light breezy show. It’s funny, Wings seems to me a prior era than Seinfeld but they ran almost exactly the same years.

I managed to watch the entire series on Antenna TV over the past year or two. Definitely a very watchable show. “Roy” and the rest of the cast are the best aspects of it. They all did a great job. The plots are the weakest aspect. The situations they come up with aren’t that memorable or inherently funny. There are some very funny episodes, but it was not up there with several funnier series of the ‘90s like Simpsons, Seinfeld and Newsradio.

I’m watching Warehouse 13 on my IMDB with Roku as well.

Antenna TV did a marathon of NewsRadio over the weekend. Now THAT was a funny show!

Newsradio was great. What a cast! Sadly, Phil Hartman’s last TV show and Joe Rogan’s first, playing a simpleminded hunk. Nice eye candy too with Maura Tierney, Vicki Lewis and Brandi Alexander +who went on to Law and Order fame).

Dave Foley is great, too. I was a big fan of The Kids in the Hall, and his “Bad Doctor” skit is a classic.

HG Wells’ episodes are especially entertaining...and she’s easy on the eyes, too.

Thanks for the tip. I started binge watching “Everwood” on from 2002 on IMDB. It’s pretty good. Cliche’ and sometimes PC. Still, I can sew while it’s on and not have to pay TOO much attention.

Maura Tierney was definitely underrated.
She reminded me of the tomboy who lived next-door
who grew up to be quite a fetching adult woman.

“11.22.63” is a 10-episode mini series of a high school teacher that travels back to 1963 (thru a closet) to try and stop Lee Harvey Oswald’s assassination of JFK. Quite entertaining if you’re into anything JFK..”

I liked the book by Stephen King. The ONLY thing from him that has ever even piqued my interest. Not a horror guy at all. The end was kind of disappointing as I recall, but loved the concept and how the book and descriptions of scenes put you back in the time period. Especially the amount of, and acceptance of casual smoking everywhere.

I would like to see that series. A buddy watched it and also recommended it.

Lowell was great as the mentally challenged mechanic. I always wondered how he could have possibly obtained his A&P license.

I never watched wings, but his face does look familiar. If I ever saw him in a show I don’t know what it might be.
