David Schramm, an actor known for his prolific work in theater as well as his role on the NBC sitcom Wings, has died at age 73.
We are heartbroken to have lost David Schramm, a founding member of our Acting Company family. We mourn his loss and will miss him, the post read along with a link to his obituary in Playbill.
No cause of death for Schramm has been reported at this time.
Representatives for Schramm did not immediately respond to Fox News request for comment.
Many may remember the actor from his role as Roy Biggins, the rival airline owner on Wings who Variety reports appeared in all 172 episodes of the series before it ended in 1997. In addition, he also played a part in the TV movie The Dreamer of Oz: The L. Frank Baum Story in 1990. He also appeared as former Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara in the miniseries Kennedy and had roles in other movies like Let It Ride, Johnny Handsome and A Shock to the System.

WW2 started 79 years ago. The youngest fighter pilots must be around 100. Are there any left?
Frank Nelson was great on "The Jack Benny Program", tormenting Jack wherever he went.
We got to see a great one at the last State of the Union.
He was great!
LOL! Math is as easy as 1,2,4.
Theatre. No family mentioned.
Does the GAY lifestyle lead to a shortened life?
I don’t judge
Much
great series
Well, he died in NY...
Sure. So does being 73. Avoid it if you can.
Any show that uses Schubert for its theme song is A+ IMHO.
I didn’t watch it much on the first run.
Antenna TV while it was available here ran it and I liked the series. Same with “Coach”.
The entire series of “Wings” is available on Hulu
Thanks for the tip.
I’ve finally started using services like Roku and Pluto TV.
Most of what I like I have on DVD though.
Recently I started watching Ironside again on disc. Roku has Time Trax on at present.
I just binge-watched all the seasons of "Wings." I forgot how cheesy and repetitious the "fractured romance" theme got.
After Lowell left, it went down like a light single in a wind shear.
I remember that guy from an episode of “Green Acres.” Of course, it was Oliver who was trying to get something from him and all he got was “Yeeeeeeeeeessss?” and a bunch of smart remarks.
I’ve been using ROKU for a few years - great streamer with lots of free stuff.
Recently I signed up for a 30-day free trial of Hulu - so much stuff and now only 5.99/mo/ Lots of TV, movies and original series.
“11.22.63” is a 10-episode mini series of a high school teacher that travels back to 1963 (thru a closet) to try and stop Lee Harvey Oswald’s assassination of JFK. Quite entertaining if you’re into anything JFK...
“I forgot how cheesy and repetitious the ‘fractured romance’ theme got.”
It’s pretty much that way on all shows with a romance in the plot. You can only drag out sexual tension and/or unrequited love so long, and then it’s, “Enough! Already”.
Back and to the left....
Interesting idea for a plot.
Have you tried “Pluto” streaming? When I’m watching IMDB via Prime, Pluto is advertised, which is free (with ads). Looks like some good programming but I’m not sure how to get it on my smart tv. They say via ROKU, but I don’t have that or know how to get it. Don’t you need a USB stick or something?
(When I retired in 2008, I fell behind in technology so am way behind the curve. LOL!)
LOL...one the many classic Seinfeld scenes...and still hilarious.
