The ‘chilling’ remembrance keeps running through my mind of when the POLS were wanting a raise and ‘justified’ themselves by claiming that without a raise before you know it only slugs and dummies and selfish people would be running for office.

Well they got their raise BUT the prediction pretty much has come about.
