If she died when she contracted it, then the COVID killed her because if she didn’t have it, she likely would not have died at this time.
At this point, I’m pretty sure if someone had the sniffles and was hit by a train on the way to get tested for Covid19, they would attribute their gruesome death to the virus.

So if the same woman was standing next to the train track and a thug pushed her in front of the train, would you say the cancer killed her or the train.
The train was the immediate cause of death, not the cancer.

Just as an aside, the flu numbers are all estimated based on the death certificates at the end of a year. Pneumonia, Respiratory failure, some heart attacks and organ failure. Flu is not a reportable disease.

It is completely disingenuous, at best, in this fear-prone environment, to script a headline stating COVID-19 killed her. What they should have written was something along the lines of, “Woman with terminal cancer succumbs to COVID-19”
