Yeah, all too real.
My wife’s older cousin (brought up my wife when wifey was a teen) had two neighbors, both doctors, husband and wife, who live about 300 ft. away from older cousin’s (and my wife’s former) home, both died from COVID-19, the lady on 3/28, the man today. Older cousin knew them and says they were very good people. She (cousin) has been crying about it this evening, and I’ve never known her to cry. She’s a devout person - type who seems like her faith can get her through anything with calm and poise — but this has rocked her.
Like me, she (cousin) is old enough to figure we’ll lose a few friends or family in this one... :-(

Prayers for her. The past few years dealing with other stuff has sure made me wonder “Where the heck is God in all of this?”.
And now this virus, and all the ramifications (lost jobs, money, stress, separation, etc.) of it. And perhaps at some point, like your cousin - death of loved ones. :(
And where the heck is God? I don’t know exactly. But, I believe that He loves us. He doesn’t change. He rules over EVERYTHING - including this stupid virus. Not that he created it - but He allows it. And He can also use it to bring something good out of it.
That would be an interesting thread - what GOOD has this whole thing created?
One of my friends said it brought him closer to his family.
Although in some families - that might not be such a great thing!
My four rules of life, that I also taught my kids:
1) Life isn’t fair.
2) Nothing is easy.
3) It’s always something.
4) God is Sovereign.
Perhaps a pessimistic view, but life is hard, and I think they are good things to remember. That fourth rule just dawned on me a few years ago.
