Germany and Ireland have very low death rates compared to other countries so far on this.
Don’t know about Ireland, but Germany may have been fudging its numbers. Had them on the plot I put together, but took them off after seeing major irregularities in their data. Read reports later that they were reclassifying deaths to reflect specific cause of death, e.g., pneumonia listed as cause of death even though the patient had the Coronavirus, and etc.
Can’t speak to Ireland other than they took some strong measures early - canceled St. Patrick’s Day parades, which some FReepers said heralded the Apocalypse. Germany attributes death to underlying health issues before CCP-19, has all along. Their low death rate is because they undercount.
