I hate to say this, but Sundays arent so grim - I dont know if testing isnt reported or just not done on Sunday without hospital admission. Im very happy to Italys death count drop twice now, I pray that trend continues for months.
I was hoping last Sunday showed a flattening trend. Monday changed that. If Im wrong, please accept my apology.
No need to apologize for asking very relevant questions. I’m cautiously optimistic myself, because all countries on plot, except for Korea, show significant drops. A data reporting irregularity should only effect one or two countries. I check the EU data, and it also indicates a drop. Still, we should not get too excited, just yet.
With many excellent efforts at containment in parts of the country, and mediocre efforts in other parts of the country, the forces driving the US numbers are very complex and not meaningful to look at in total.
Statistics are only helpful to people who understand the explanations for the data.
They only make sense one area at a time.
That is the big mistake the flu bros make. Understanding complex data requires careful analysis and reasoning. Without that you are left with meaningless debating points—spin.
