It’s the mindset, right? We see it here daily. I saw it on a Nextdoor forum today. The normalcy bias is at the level of delusion for some, and it is sad to me.
And Trump stirred them up like kicking an ant hill today.
My uses is they were all in the stock market too deeply for their age. They are freaking out. I cannot imagine many of them have jobs.
I honestly believe that normalcy bias is how many, even here, handle this crisis.
Denial.
I’m seeing it within my own family. Most are aware and prepared, but some are beginning to freak out and tune out (friends/cousins). I make it a point to send a text, or call, every other day, just to say hi and see how they’re doing.
