the author didn’t research. At least a week ago the regs were relaxed so that HCWs could use construction/commercial grade masks outside of red zons, and an all-points call for said companies to donate asap went out.
There is a shortage of masks because pandas deployed by CCP raped every western country of their available masks and PPE. Even going to small communities to do so (kind of like that hand sanitizer guy that had the 17,500 bottles the Kentucky DA made him donate). And, after causing a pandemic, CCPChina has ramped up mask production to SELL them instead of donate back to the countries they pillaged of PPE supplies.
