What abut the 22nd Amendment?

Ah, one of my FAVORITE subjects, AND, it's not about coronavirus!

The 22nd Amendment is incredibly poorly drafted. It's not clear to whom it applies (voters, parties, Electors, the House of Representatives, individuals, etc).

But one thing that IS clear is that the retards who wrote it did NOT change the criteria for being "eligible to the office of President", and did NOT block ascent to the office by any means, other than "being elected".

Since there are no Presidential elections in the Constitution, it's not even clear what THAT means.

What's perfectly clear is that Barack Obama, or Bill Clinton, or Jimmy Carter if he is still alive could be elected Vice President by the Electoral College, could be elected Speaker of the House or President Pro Tempore of the Senate, could be appointed and confirmed a Secretary of State, etc, and then become President through resignation, assassination, or whatever.

It would have been so simple to draft an Amendment that read, "No person having served more than six years and one day as POTUS shall henceforward be ineligible to the office", but that's not what they did.
