A McDonald's drive through worker (who knew she was being exposed but needs the $) got on and pleaded with people to not come through the drive through sick and coughing. She said a lady came through, sick. She said you could tell she was sick and she was telling her she just came from the hospital and was trying to get tested.
Another lady started a big long post about how her kids were being excluded from the play group because she was an ER nurse and all the other mothers were afraid she was going to pass it off to her kid.
I went out briefly Wednesday to drop some shipments off in a mailbox down the road. It was mayhem. Full traffic, tailing gaiting, driving aggressively, phones glued to their ears.
Sometimes, I really question what are we hanging on to here...
Sigh. The drive thru worker probably needs her job but, good golly, wear a mask, gloves and glasses or eye protection. Don’t leave the window open and chat with anyone. Barely open the window to pass the food and money through quickly. These restaurants need to put up a sign to electronically pay for meals if possible.
No one asked me but drive thru windows aren’t essential. Wallyworld should be told to shut down all aisles that aren’t food or pharmacy.
Local boards are mostly the woe is me crowd. They claim they can’t leave their kids home when they go to Walmart (sure, lets get the kids sick). Ok, WM is open 13 hrs/7 days a week. They admit their husbands work. Hmm, so hubby works the very same 13 hours WM is open and he never gets a day off so the wives can’t leave the kids home with daddy - ever.
Nope, sorry, don’t believe it. Drama queens. They’re out shopping all day just like before so don’t have time to make dinner so the only place to get dinner is at the drive thru and the kids are tired of chicken nuggets.
Ugh. Cry me a river.
