Manchester Convention Center and Birmingham’s National Exhibition Center will be transformed into field hospitals. Birmingham Airport will be temp mortuary with space for 10K bodies.
Staff needs PPE. Staff testing begins next week starting with critical care nurses and ambulance services.

33,000 new UK hospital beds for coronavirus patients - BBC News
Mr Gove says that the best analysis shows the rate of infection in the UK has been doubling every three to four days.

An extra 33,000 beds are being created for coronavirus patients as part of an “extraordinary effort” to reconfigure the health service, he adds.
He confirms that there will be two new major Nightingale hospitals built on the sites of Birmingham’s NEC and the Manchester conference centre. [in addition to the existing one for East London]
