Wow unwarranted assumptions.... Are you joking?

China has been dealing with this since late last year. The world did not know it and their people were traveling all over the planet.

So you think it is just an “unwarranted assumption” and not possible that a good amount of people had it, recovered from it and never reported it?

Even the CDC assumes 36 million had the flu, recovered and never reported it. If the CDC would not do this, then their death count would be around 10% for the annual flu.

Not based upon what we know from identification of traceable vs. community-spread cases, the distinctive characteristics of the disease, nor those places which have a saturation of testing such as South Korea. That’s three different lines of evidence right there that *all* vividly point to it not being so.

No one tries to locate everyone who had the flu, and trace both who they got it from and who they may have exposed to the virus. That alone makes it a wholly different situation, but there are other factors which also make it an inapplicable comparison in that manner.
