I am not running a local small business nor an employee of one, and literally no one’s employee. My income is various retirement incomes and I could take a hit on one of them due to the stock market’s performance. That might be a long term hit or a temporary one depending on how the markets change down the road.
In any case I am thinking that many will need the “stimulus” check much more than I will. Trying to decide what to do with it. If I could save one small favorite local business from closing - if that were possible - I would. I doubt my “stimulus” check can do that.
AM retired also. Feel the same and the idea to help one or more local businesses is a good one if I can do that.
I do NOT like this bill and its vast expenditures and the principal behind it. But since it’s happening, just figuring out IF I will receive anything is interesting.
