A local car dealer sent out a slick cardboard flyer in the mail yesterday touting a free trip to the Final Four. It’s called an unexpected shelf-life issue. Or, as the Epistle of James cautions, “we know not what cometh on the morrow”.
My local Burger King sent a flyer with raised coupon prices just as the Wu Flu was breaking. They jacked up all combo prices 50 cents - $1. Real bad time to raise prices, obviously.
At least they stopped running the commercial where Tony Romo was calling people to get their March Madness picks on behalf of Corona Beer.
To qualify for cheap postal rates, these promotions have to be paid for 3 weeks or more in advance. Shame on postal service for carrying out the contract.
