They duped Trump on the mortality rate, but now actual scientific data is showing that it was overestimated by about 7X to 10X. I think he is about to show some people the door and roll the dice. Also, serological testing will soon show that this has been around for many months.
I think you are right on all counts except Trump doesn’t like to fire during an event/crisis (think Russian investigation). He will likely fire afterward.
Once it’s confirmed that both the infectiousness and mortality were wildly overstated, the question is what to make of the wild stories coming out of China in the early days. Were there in fact no crematoriums running 24/7 or mass graves visible from space, or was there something actually going on? Was mortality much higher in China due to demographic, lifestyle, and public health factors there?
Or was this in fact not a bio weapon as many here insisted, but a fairly run of the mill virus used to launch a carefully orchestrated orchestrated disinformation campaign designed to tank the US economy?

We have acquaintances that work for a famous PC gaming company here in the Raleigh area. There were frequent trips to Asia and China. They - and many others in their company got this bug in early December. Same type of symptoms - headache-cough-pneumonia. Thankfully they are all well - but they’re convinced this thing has been here for some time.
Heard from someone in a big lad who is In The Know, they are seeing flatter growth than is being propagated
