We tend to allow the person ahead of us to take the elevator alone, and then we are next. There’s no rule about it.
I guess we just use hands. I always wash mine as soon as I get inside the apartment, and I guess everyone else does too.
Went out earlier today and discovered a wonderful fact: You can still get McDonald’s. You have to use a credit card at the kiosk and then they hand you the bag from a slight distance, all blocked off with yellow tape.
There’s a newish place that is still serving coffee but I tried it and I don’t like it much, so that’s the end of that.
Dry cleaners and hardware stores are open, along with the groceries. Liquor store was closed but I think they are allowed to be open.
The dining rooms at ours are cordoned off with yellow tape but cash still accepted at counter orders (I use card). Manager very accommodating; offered to let me use one of the outdoor chairs to sit and eat if it took it to the grassy area at the end of the lot. The outdoor patio area is closed as it is considered an outdoor dining area.
