Colorado coronavirus death count jumps to 19; number of confirmed cases at 1,086

DENVER (KDVR) The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment released new data Wednesday afternoon about the coronavirus outbreak.
Nineteen people in the state have died from the virus. On Tuesday, 11 deaths had been reported.

Santa Clara County reported 84 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday in what is the largest single-day spike since the county began recording positive tests.
Santa Clara County Public Health Department also reported one additional COVID-19-related death, bringing the countywide death toll to 17. More than half of the deaths have been reported since Saturday

All three newly reported deaths were individuals over the age of 65 with underlying health conditions, according to Los Angeles County Public Health Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer.
This brings the total number of deaths in the county to 13.
