I’m stumped.

Of course I knew that. But Hydroxychloroquine is not Thalidomide. Its clear that you threw out Thalidomide to cloud the issue.
You may know that Thalidomide is still in constant use, and is a highly effective and important drug.
They don’t give it to pregnant women. And it isn’t the only drug like that. These are drugs that are known to cause birth defects, and you need to show you are birth control, get tested more than once for pregnancy, and sometimes swear off sex. It can spread to the mother and child through semen.
But it is actually on the list of safest and most effective medicines.
The problem with Thalidomide was that, in europe in the late 50s, they said it was safe for pregnant woman, but it turned out in some cases, it wasn’t, and by the time they stopped it, 4000 babies were born horribly deformed or still-born.
Our FDA stopped the drug from being used in the United States. This was the driving force for an overhaul of the drug approval system.
This has almost no bearing on the use of ZPAP and Hydrocloroquine for COVID, since both drugs, and the combination of the two drugs, have made it through all the relevant testing, so the ONLY question is whether it is helpful, or harmful, in the treatment of COVID.
One might have read your posts about Thalidomide, and then been worried about why their doctor was prescribing it to them.
