Why cant a small business owner go to their business place to paint walls, do inventory, clean, work on mail thats piling up someplace, prepare taxes (e.g. CPA), do filing, etc. A machinist or woodworker making customized parts or products is hardly a threat of making anyone sick. Theres a wide variety of business operations that fall into this category.
Not saying being open for business to the general public, if thats the diktat from the local kommisars, but doing thing that ordinarily need to be done by one or two persons during down time or quiet time when the front door is closed.

You’re allowed to do all those - they’re considered necessary trips, even going to the pot shop & liquor store.
But don’t venture out for a joy ride, that’s not necessary.

Just say you’re trying to find a drug store that has cough medicine and Tylenol. Then go “ACHOO!”

I think a small business owner can go into his shop or business to do paperwork or paint the walls. Just do it alone.

“A car is a portable home”
I agree. In fact, that’s how the gun laws work here as far as carrying a gun in your car. Your car is an extention of your home.

38,000 people died in car accidents in 2019. The roads should absolutely be shutdown until people quit getting killed.
Shut it down!!!

Yesterday (for business) I drove from Memphis to southeast Oklahoma. Today our company sent out a letter much like a doctors excuse for us to use if stopped by any authorities. We have offices all over the country. Supposedly we are essential because we do design, planning and engeneering ?!?! 🤣🤣 Anywho... Im sitting in a steakhouse in Broken Bow and just finished my salad, mashed potatoes and medium rare ribeye. They have an AWESOME salad bar but it is closed due to corona so they asked what I wanted on my salad and prepared it in the back. They are waiting to see if they will be forced to go to carry out only starting tomorrow.

“Cant you drive to the supermarket or pharmacy, both of which are essential?”
Of course. But that’s not the same as a pleasant ride in the mountains or out in the country.
Why are they telling people that they should only make essential trips in their cars?

It is America. Supposedly we are free. Supposedly we have a Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Do whatever you want. If need be, be dishonest with the “authorities”. This fascism is unbecoming of our “leaders”.

The paramedics care if you get into an accident and take up a hospital bed. But you should have figured that out on your own, NRx.
