Small population (conservative) on the east side does not vote for these taxes.
Meanwhile, the east side grows all the food for the west side. East side has rural setting that the west side invades for recreation. PS the invaders try to turn the east side into the culture that they are escaping from.

You are either deliberately or accidentally conflating local taxes with state taxes. You were talking about property taxes going up so that locals cant afford them. Property taxes are set at the county level so that the renters in Seattle have no input to the property tax rate in Eastern Washington. I really hate it when someone dishonestly puts forth a bogus argument. I hope you just didnt make the connection with real estate taxes being being strictly local
