A downpour started around 11:30 p.m. I shut the bedroom window and let Jake in, but I deduce from the clothes hanging on the ledge upstairs that Patrick got wet coming home from work. He has rain gear, but it’s typical for our children to not bother getting the rain gear out!

I’ve learned from sad experience that kids seem to think the rain will miss them, personally. It makes for wet kids, wet clothes and a drippy mess wherever they walk. My own Favorite Daughter didn’t ever seem to have enough sense to come in out of the rain, and then would complain because she was wet and cold.
