DP and I were discussing Ancient Rome - as one does - while walking around the neighborhood earlier. I suggested that if a Roman visited one of our homes, he would think the small animals were our deities.
I had thought about going to the local store this morning, then going to get the oil changed, and I realized Lin’s doesn’t carry milk in quarts, and their instant breakfast is about a dollar more per box than Walmart. I went to Walmart and was first in line, so I had a chance to talk to the assistant manager while we waited for the doors to open. I was first in line!
So we talked for a bit to pass the time, and he was complaining that his throat was sore the entire time he worked due to the mask and I told him he needed to change it more often than once a shift. He said his throat didn’t hurt on his weekend. DUH.
Anyway, when I left the store, he was talking to another employee, and as I walked past I thanked them and wished them a good day, and heard Corey say so his co-worker, “That’s my Number One Customer!” THAT was worth the trip to Walmart!
But I’m in so much pain now that I won’t be going to Jiffy Lube until tomorrow. I don’t think.
The pets think they are deities too.
