In addition to the rock-bottom elements of job success, “Show up on time, sober, and don’t steal,” Patrick seems to have assimilated, “Pay attention to what you’re told to do, and then do it to the best of your ability with a pleasant attitude.”
Woo-hoo!

Thank you.
Excellent! Congratulations to Patrick for being such a good student. Has he been studying the manual, as well, so he can pass the written test with flying colors?
You’re welcome.
He already passed the written test to get his over-18 permit. After 90 days and 60 hours of driving without incident, he can get his license without a driving test, at least under the current, Covid-related rules.
Oh. Very good.
The iherb package came, much earlier than I expected. But I was out of a lot of things, so I was glad. I’m a day late on the tea start, but it only means I’ll have to extend the cycle by a day.
So, I hope your nap was enjoyable!
Pretty good. No cat. Then I finished building the package of bits I opened earlier. It was the library and the Gryffindor common room, which, of course are not near one another in the “real” building but are in the Lego set.
We took the trash with the shells out to lead the kittah's not into temptation.
Apparently they called their buddies the raccoons to come and check out the bins. Oy what a mess!
I was just dropping off to sleep and heard a text come in. I had forgotten to turn down the alert. That started it. For the next hour, it was one text after another. So I got up and listened to a couple of talks while I built a couple of jigsaw puzzles. Unngh.
We get outdoor cats coming around if our bins smell like dead stuff.
Good morning!
Dat kitteh looks like her eyes have only been opened a day!
Good morning.
The shower has been had and I still haven’t started my letter to Charlie. Nor done anything else but sit here and geek.
The little calico that wanders around loose seems to have taken a shine to me, and will now walk right up to me. I know she belongs to someone, but she sure is docile. The “black: in her coat is actually gray, and I’ve never seen a calico with gray. She’s quite pretty.
I got to thinking about that accident, yesterday, and the only way the engine could have been mashed the way it was is if the driver of the car was making a right-hand turn and the hugh truck was coming from the left. It spun the car 180°. And there were no skid marks, so I’m thinking it was the car’s fault because the trucker didn’t have time to brake.
The things my mind settles on in the middle of the night...
I’m stiff this morning. I decided to sort the bins of miscellaneous Lego pieces, which involved sitting on the living room floor.
I’m almost finished the first of two large bins ...
Nothing stiffens me up faster than sitting on the floor. Which is a pretty good indicator that I need to do it more often!
Good luck on sorting the rest of it. Maybe a walk around the block to loosen up the joints? ;o]
The kids are getting into the Lego that’s been sorted, of course. Gah.
I’ve got the song sheets ready for tonight’s funeral, but I should get the one done for Sunday, too.
Why would they want to get into the bin that hasn’t been sorted? They’ve already made a mess of it!
This morning, I was very late getting Charlie’s letter written and ready to go, and also go a couple of cards written, finally, so they’re all in the outgoing mail.
As I was walking over to the community room, I realized that the nagging little pain in my right knee was more an aggravating pain, and that I needed to wrap it. The thought of a steroid injection is sounding more and more like something I really want to do!
I realized I was starving. I’m so close to being done with the first bin of Lego!
Now I’d like to collapse, but the household is nagging me to go shopping. And there’s still a Pat Driving Event to be done, but it’s so danged hot that I really don’t think I can handle Pat driving as well as the rest of the aggravation.
I keep reminding Patrick that he needs to look left before he turns right!
And with that, we’re off on the Driving Adventure. The church office called to say I could come and make copies, so we’ll do that and go to Harris Teeter.
