Getting this raw yarn sorted out is driving me bats, and its complicated by the fact that my feet hurt from wearing shoes that don’t fit the way my sandals did.
The yarn is full of wool debris. Spinning must be filthy work!
I thought I was doing good on my drive in, being able to avoid the freeway, but on the road I took, I was supposed to make a left turn but the two left turns that I could have taken in order to make it to the doctor’s office were both blocked off. That was going to mean that I was going to end up on the bluff above the city and there is no way I wanted to do that.
As soon as I could, I turned around and found a right turn that took me, very steeply, back down to the Boulevard where I found my way to the doctor’s office. GAH! So it was a stressful trip for me today, and to make it worse, my feet had been hurting since I put the shoes on.
So. Now, I just want to finish winding this last blob of yarn, take my shoes off and enjoy the last bit of time before I go to bed.
Thunder. The monsoon season is officially here and opened.
Sounds like the wool is an interesting project. I had a nap with Jake. Things are setting up for thunderstorms here, too.
The tank now has a weight on top.
We do not need any more traumatized fishies or very wet cats.
Oh, dear. It’s amazing what cats will do when they’re determined.
So we are designing and building one.
We used to put large books on top of the snake’s cage to keep her from getting out.
The wool is frustratingly, absorbingly interesting. I’ll need to vacuum this entire area when I’m done with getting the blobs made into balls.
And up to this point in my life, wool has been an irritant on my skin. All wool. So I’m wondering what kind of project I can make with this that won’t irritate my skin. Probably an afghan.
Anyway, I’ll be off to the shower in a minute. I finally slept most of the night and then slept in, so hopefully, the pattern will continue.
The cold front that came in yesterday and brought us thunder storms also brought us some cooler temps, and right now, its 77°, headed for a low of 69°! The doors are open for the breeze. At least I don’t have to worry about the utility bill this month. But I DID set out a long-sleeved shirt to wear. ;o]
The kitteh is asking what took me so long!
Good morning.
Our posts crossed in the night!
I need to go take a shower and try to wake up, though I prefer to give the morphine an hour to work. That way, the chance of losing my balance in the shower isn’t so pronounced. Safety bars and all.
Good morning! Unless storms hit in the dinner-time range, like every day the past week, I’ll be at camp from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. today. I’m packing my food.
How far is camp from where you live? It would seem an hour is hardly worth it. But, duty calls...
Shower time.
That was 8 in the morning to 9 at night.
It’s about half an hour away.
Tomorrow’s schedule is 7 to 8 p.m., though.
Anyway, it gives me a chance to bring James and Vlad the things they forgot!
I read it wrong. It takes me a while to wake up the brain. The eyes work, but the connector points between the brain and the eyes are a little off.
Wow. Full day, then.
I sure wish my sandals hadn’t bitten the dust because today is a perfect day for them...matching my outfit and all! Not to mention they’re so comfortable on my neuropathy-afflicted feet.
Today is Statehood Day! Honor the Pioneers!
Hurrah for the Utah Pioneers! They sure were a tough bunch of people.
Yes, they were, and I think a lot of the sickly ones became strong on the trek because they HAD to. I got an extra copy of the Payson Chronicle, because it has one of those ancestor Pioneer stories in it. (I got five copies, altogether.) I’ll send it with the next letter. A full page of story! And now, I have to put the flag out and when I come in, I need to write to Charlie.
Yep, the sister spun the yarn! She said she doesn’t remember where she lived when she did it, though.
Good Morning. Happy Friday! I missed Friday Eve as I had a cleaning appointment at the Dentist and then work.
Our first release is going live on Monday so this is a very busy time. I might not check in much before Tuesday.
Enjoy camp/life/Microsoft weirdness in case I can’t.
Happy Friday to you!
Well, I for one will be thinking of you in your busy absence.
:o])
Stay safe!
‘Lo.
Are you officially of Pioneer Stock if your ancestors were there before statehood, or is it a different criterion?
