Gloves are worse than not washing your hands as far as I have been able to tell. And if you don’t take them off and dispose of them immediately, before you get to the vehicle, you’ve defeated the purpose. Washing one’s hands is much better for health’s sake!
You’re right on your assessment of OAPs and kids!
Crikey! Each of the five kids is big enough individually to fill the cab. Two in the bed if there were no equipment to haul!
I still have gas to buy as well as laundry quarters. Neither is critical at the moment so I’ll worry about it tomorrow.
For some reason, my BP was through the roof this morning. But then, that happens with CFIDS. It has a tendency to elevate the BP as a side-effect or symptom, I haven’t yet decided which.
The truck has two seats in front and three in back, with seatbelts, like a sedan.
That’s actually more room than the tracker has. I keep the cargo space, because of groceries and the perpetual case (or less) of water I keep in it, so there is the passenger seat semi-available. I mostly have it occupied with my backpack and the sun screens.
I probably need to go clean it out one of these days. Just to see how the other half of the neighborhood lives. If the truck was clean and seat pulled up to where it belongs, four people could fit. Tightly. I love it, though, and am grateful every day for it.
If you were having to run tall young men around, I’m sure you’d have an issue, but as it is ...
Service Disruption!
Dear Morning Kitteh Ping List,
I will be leaving on a camping trip later today (Sunday) and will be returning Thursday. I won’t be posting a kitteh from Monday to Thursday mornings.
The ping list is at the top of my profile page. Please help yourselves to it for all your Kitten Cuteness needs!
Dont let the Covid police find you .... please
We’re going to South Carolina. State parks are open there!
Everyone has to take a bandanna, in case we want to visit any “mask required” locations. We’ll look like the Dalton Gang!
Have tons of fun !!!!
Oh a tip .... open bathrooms on the road are few and far between
My plans including sitting in the shade and reading. Also sitting in the shade and writing. Also sitting in the shade and drawing.
Maybe walking around, too, although there’s not much “real hiking” around where we’re staying, because we’re going to the coast instead of the mountains. (”Real hiking” is that which can’t be done in a long skirt without risking a catastrophic fall.)
Keep Wallyworld close and bathrooms are abundant
Actually, the front seats go back far enough that men over 6’4” can sit comfortably and drive it. So even then, there’s no problem. :o] My Favorite Son with his 6’4” bulk has driven it. You know, the one who owns, restores and drives pre-1972 VWs?
Add a :o]) to that post, ‘Face!
I remember that son, yes ;-).
He’s so big, I don’t know how he fits in those little cars, but I think he fell in love with the one we got in Germany in 1970, brand new, and that love has expanded through the years. He was only six then, and could fit in the back seat! ;o]
I remember my brother and me both in the back of a VW around 1970.
In 1970, I could fit back there!
T-c sent me a text last night, saying they had reached their destination, but there was no word on whether there would be a Morning Kitteh. I suppose not, since it IS a vacation, and a well-earned one as well.
So any of the FRiends who would like to step up for the duration (I don’t recall when she’s coming back, but...) and post a Morning Kitteh or two, it would be appreciated. I mean, what’s the Undead Thread without Morning Kittehs?
;o]
‘Face
No kittehs. Hi! I’m lying on my cot waiting for coffee to be ready.
