We have three Chinese takeaways in my town. All closed “until further notice” last week. We were talking about it Sat night. Where are the owners/workers? Why did they close?

It kind of reminds me of the Sikh situation a few years back where idiots couldn’t tell the difference between them and Muslims. Ours are RoCs, why wouldn’t I buy from them? I suppose that I wouldn’t if I knew they were a PRC cell but how would I know that?
Either way if yours have all run away then try to find a Hmong grocery store. The Hmongs have travelled all over the mainland of the continent and kept and tweaked all the best recipes. Sometimes they have a semi-secret little restaurant in the back. You can be having “Chinese” while your friend has “Thai” and her kid has “Vietnamese” all at the same place.
