3M is making masks - pretty sure the title is referring to ventilator machines, not respirator masks.
Rationing is a function of there being more casualties than medical equipment. Socialized medicine results in less equipment but we will he rationing based in comorbiduties and age when we get overcapacity too.
Read in between the lines....they don’t want to “waste” ventilators on the over 60 because they have a lot of 10 to 59 yr olds they figure might still be saved with the vents especially 18 to 45 year olds who will die without vent support. In otherwords, all those youngsters that weren’t supposed to be getting real ill with covid...well they are getting real ill with covid. So they are choosing the youngsters vs. the 60 and over crowd.(Wait ...I’ll bet they drop the age max to 55).

All but 12% were already dying of either hypertension, diabetes, or heart disease.

Comorbidity is a meaningless term. It has no definitive definition and is most prevalent in Psychiatry.
But, that said, it can be applied in this case to mean, any pre-existing condition that may be likely to make the resultant Wuhan Virus a more significant danger to one person than another based upon said pre-existing condition.
However, more and more cases of Wuhan Virus are beginning to come to the forefront where the patient is young with no pre-existing conditions and yet, that person’s life is in the balance.
These cases contradict the Cormorbidity theory.
Beats the demographic that can’t determine which personal pronoun to use.

easy solution for over 60 folks- simply identify as 30 year olds- and dare anyone to dispute you
