I guess we need Tucker to point out what we ourselves already know. Sad.

In 2009 the CDC was facing H1N1. It prepared in cooperation with the WHO and state Public Health Agencies a plan for the next H1N1. It turned out to be slow moving because it was so bureacucratic.

A government agency infected by eight years of Obama and D’rat Deep Staters is not very good? Inefficient? Unprepared?

Wow...

CDC is an agency that as been corrupted by the Obama administration, diversity more important than the American people, our tax payer money squandered on agenda driven nonsense, gut and retool

I also blame our focus on foreign wars in the name of “national security”. Trillions that have been blown on Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya could have been used to provide an infrastructure for health security here at home. We’re about to be hit with, potentially, a depression , because our govt wasn’t geared up for a pandemic. Talk about a devastating hit to our real national security

11 years in the making, and zero positive effect from it. 0 percent efficiency?

Because the CDC was too busy fighting... obesity among other societal ills. A real pandemic comes along and oops! I’m sure there are some very highly qualified and professional people at the CDC. But it also needs to be de-politicized and redirected back to its original mission.

So was NYS: Our gov. Our legislature. Our local governments.

Now they are all stamping their widdle feet and demanding Fedzilla come in and save them from their stupidity in fiddling while Rome burns.

And a note to our many of our bureaucrats: Keeping bankers hours during this charlie foxtrot isn’t helping your cause.

That’s the result when your leaders consider themselves world citizens instead of American Citizens.

The US always comes last for these people. That’s why they hate Trump so much, he exposes them for what they are.

Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread

Published: 22 August 2005

4 of the authors worked for the: Special Pathogens Brach, Division of Viral and Rickettsial Diseases, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, Georgia, 1600 Clifton Road, 30333, USA

Results We report, however, that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and therapeutic advantage. In addition to the well-known functions of chloroquine such as elevations of endosomal pH, the drug appears to interfere with terminal glycosylation of the cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. This may negatively influence the virus-receptor binding and abrogate the infection, with further ramifications by the elevation of vesicular pH, resulting in the inhibition of infection and spread of SARS CoV at clinically admissible concentrations.
