You can go to the end of your current thread. Some where near there will be a link to the next thread.
Yes, the link from the last thread was how I found this thread, but I wouldn't have found this thread easily otherwise. I might've thought that someone had neglected to start one (or maybe that someone was trying to be funny with the title again, and a moderator deleted the new thread).
Using a link from the last thread doesn't help people on the "outside." The shifting, inconsistent format of the title hinders searching.
