Sadly, Trump is now along for the ride as every politician in DC works feverishly to outdo and outspend the other in response to an illness that is in no way a 10 trillion dollar plus event.

Trump withstood the media stampede on Russian collusion and the setup by the DNC and GOPe. He withstood the media stampede on Ukraine/impeachment where the media attempted to push a false narrative in collusion with Schiff. He has swatted away their endless sniping at him. The public shrugged and life was good.

This “pandemic” came at the perfect time and not even Trump could withstand the tsunami it created. They are shutting down our country before our very eyes, cratering the hottest economy we ever had, and potentially changing the November election in ways we cannot yet predict.

I am not disparaging Trump although he appears to have the same spending problem everyone else in DC does (my one knock on him). His travel ban was roundly criticized, but likely prevented this from being far worse, but the hyperbolic and hysterical reporting is now driving the direction of our nation. Trump has said and done the right things, but the media will still ding him at every opportunity and for the first time in his Presidency, it appears to me that he is hostage to an event.

There is nothing good about this virus, but I am now pretty certain that a far more virulent virus (of which there are many) would collapse our nation if we react in the same manner. I firmly believe that many of us will look back in disgust at this. It is not “Trump’s fault” although it will surely be cast as such by our media and the opposition party, it is a problem of public perception, true discernment of the media motives to hype the event, and a reactionary political class largely beholden to the media narrative that cares nothing about fiscal responsibility.

We cannot and will not withstand any future crisis if we react like panicked lemmings running off a cliff and our politicians borrow and throw money around like this. We cannot survive if our central bankers crush us with debt at every turn. We cannot last if the 4th estate profits from panic.

Mark my words..... our certain economic collapse will be far worse if our nation allows the media to crater the economy and our politicians to spend money we do not have to every major event.

Who controls our nation now? The politicrats, the media, the judiciary, and the Fed. It pains me to write it, but you know it is true. The media has the most power as they can create public panic and force the politicrats and Fed to react to it.

Remove Trump from this current equation and the only thing that might stand for our individual freedoms is a politicized judiciary. Imagine if it were Hillary.....

I trust President Trump. Bottom line. If he thought for one minute that this wasn't a real threat then he would not have mobilized the entire apparatus of government against it. He would have just let it roll and see what happened. But it's OBVIOUS just by looking at what the virus has done in other countries what the outcome would be of doing nothing.
