I’ll just bet you would LOVE a reporter to ask about the most insulting and deliberately provocative “gotcha” question it is possible to ask in this situation. You are assuming without the smallest shred of evidence that there is a WORLD WIDE COVER UP which includes IRAN.

Good point. Yesterday someone hinted around the edge and he brushed it away. I note the first public figure to point to a bio weapon was Sen Tom Cotton. He has been muted since his first comments which make me even more suspicious.

For me, the scariest part is seeing how willing people are to surrender their freedom entirely, with very little concrete justification for it on the part of government.

The pearl-clutching fools here and elsewhere are ripe for exploitation and oppression, and there’s no shortage of tyrants-in-waiting who are more than happy to oblige them.

If one of my loved ones "with other health issues" had died from the "plain old flu" this year -- one of near 30,000 Americans who have -- I'd be pretty pissed that it didn't make headlines, while this nonsense virus does every time.

Would you really? You wouldn't be too busy grieving? It's not really a headline story either.

People die from the flu, from all kinds of viruses. Maybe all the publicity about this coronavirus will get more people to take precautions and that's all to the good.

I never thought of it as either a “gotcha” question or insulting. I am inclined to believe that there is a “cover up” or at least a withholding of information that might well include Iran. My shred of evidence is the world-wide extreme measures which are taking place to control this Chinese virus that appears to be all out of proportion to the deaths and infections that it has thus far caused.

I’m not assuming a negative motive on anyone’s part for keeping some things back. Public panic serves no purpose for effectively dealing with this. When this is over, the virus contained, I just think it would be nice to know all of the facts and I think President Trump is the man who would tell us.
