You are joking, right?
A day later, blood work showed he also had leukemia, his family said. He finally died Sunday, less than a week after he first sought help.
Tragic loss of a young man but, he also had an underlying condition...
Given that EVERY person that has this happen to them gets national news coverage, I don’t think it is happening that much.
He probably would have been sent home here as well, at least until he had a fever.
He did not die of the leukemia. He died of the infection of the virus. He died BECAUSE he had leukemia.
If they had treated him, then he would have needed treatment for leukemia, and if successful, this story would be about how lucky he was to get CV, otherwise he might have died never knowing he had it.
#1 - This was in Spain. The headline doesn’t say that.
#2 - 3/4 of the way through the article you finally found out he had leukemia. The headline doesn’t say that.
All the headline does is sow fear and distrust of medical professionals.
Yeah, I just read that when I went to the link.
But wouldn't his immune system have already been compromised despite what stage it was at?
President Xi Jinpings The Yellow Peril ChiCom Wuhan Pneumonia Novel Coronavirus aka the Red Death/Mass People Killing Virus, Chinobyl#2, The Yellow Peril, Made in China!
I have read a few reports from people who been diagnosed with this thing. And the truth is that until you are almost dead then there is absolutely no medical help available in this country. They just send you home.
I immediately stopped reading at that point. Fake news, or at least Fake headline.
Yes, undiagnosed leukemia
Undetected underlying condition
If you had ANY stage of leukemia do you think your immune system would be normal? I doubt it. He was screwed.
“Leukemia? Thats definitely a major reason he didnt pull through.”
Yep. My best friend’s brother had leukemia and was waiting for a bone marrow transplant. One day my friend calls me and tells me his brother is in the hospital with a fever. The next day he’s dead.
Obviously long before Coronavirus...but the point being that a simple fever can take you out with leukemia, but if you’re hit with Coronavirus, not a prayer.
“Novel coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95 percent had China responded to the outbreak just three weeks earlier than it did, a March 13 study by the University of Southampton has found.”
Wouldn’t have mattered to the West. We were too busy trying to ‘protect business’ than to wage a serious fight...thinking we could have it both ways.
We lost with that gamble.
Yes. They are vile.
If they CAN manipulate a headline, they will.
He had leukemia. Lost my bet friend to it in ‘95. Leukemia is a horrible disease the doesn’t play well with anything.
