Although there is GOOD NEWS on its effectiveness, Here’s one thing that should bring us caution (from the paper):
“Six hydroxychloroquine-treated patients were lost in follow-up during the survey because of early cessation of treatment.”
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
WHY did they cease the treatment? That’s the question.
SIDE EFFECTS? Cure worse than the disease?
They need to explain the reason.
Best to READ the paper that they wrote.
My dad contracted malaria while in Vietnam. Not sure what they treated him with, but he described several nights of bone racking chills with horrible sweating before the symptoms eased off. Sickest he’s ever been he said
