PRIOR
One thermometer for each person outside isolation room. One thermometer inside isolation. Disinfect well people’s with alcohol before use. Take temp. morning and night.

ISOLATION ROOM and BATHROOM

THE SICK PERSON:
Disconnect your computer and take it with all the wiring to the isolation room.

The Well Person will get your clothes, glasses, meds and toothbrush, etc. for you later.

Seal off the air vents in BOTH the bedroom and bathroom. Look in supply box - use the scissors to cut a DOUBLE piece of black garbage bag and secure to each vent with duct tape. Double layer the garbage bag so the metal vent will not rip it. Make sure it is taped securely all the way around. It doesn’t matter if the tape rips off ceiling paint. Use the step stool and don’t fall. Sorry, no A/C as that circulates the virus to the rest of the house.

Two tv trays are for a computer table. Or maybe take the books off two shelves and use one shelf for the computer and the other shelf for the keyboard. Figure out what works for you.

There are batteries for remote controls in the supply container.

There are light bulbs in the supply container.

DO NOT leave bedroom for any reason for 14 days, preferably longer.

Use nitrile gloves when needed and removed them properly and dispose of them. There is a pair of kitchen gloves in the supply box if needed.

DISINFECTANTS
Bleach, alcohol and hydrogen peroxide, in that order, will kill the virus. All are in the bathroom.

Bleach and Lysol and Clorox wipes are on the counter top.

Alcohol, Lysol and Clorox sprays, hydrogen peroxide, bar soap are in the cabinets under the sink.

PERSONAL HYGIENE:
Bathe at least once daily as best as you can. Don’t forget hair. Pat on alcohol to help kill shedding of virus and to disinfect.

Wash hands and face frequently with bar soap. Use alcohol on hands and pat onto face as needed to help kill shedding of virus and to disinfect. Under the sink is hand lotion if the alcohol dries your skin (if it does stop using it).

Wipe down faucet and sink area including toothbrush handle with Clorox/Lysol wipes after using. Clean mirror of splatters.

Bathe with lots of soap. Don’t know if a bath or shower would be best to flush the shedding off. After it drys, spray tub/shower with disinfect getting faucet, shower head, tub, shower curtain and walls. The water will eventually drain out, maybe.

Use Clorox/Lysol disinfectant wipes to wipe toilet at least twice a day. Wipe seat, under seat, toilet rim, front and back of lid and handle. Wipe the whole toilet down every couple days.

Wipe down bathroom floor every couple days with a disinfectant wipe. Put it on the floor and use your foot if bending over is too hard. Clean any splatters off the wall and closet and scale.

Spray Lysol/Clorox disinfectant around daily. Don’t forget behind the door.

DENTAL and FACE
Brush teeth frequently to dispel virus. Rinse mouth with diluted bleach, hydrogen peroxide or mouthwash (in order of virus killing effectiveness). Pour any of those into plastic cup so you don’t touch your mouth to the bottle.

Pour hydrogen peroxide onto toothbrush after brushing help sanitize it.

In a plastic cup, mix a bottle cap of bleach into a 3 finger width amount of luke warm water and swish in your mouth for at least 1 minute. Spit it down the sink. Do not swallow. Do this once a day for gum health and to get rid of virus germs. Yes, this is perfectly fine and won’t kill you.

Swishing with hydrogen peroxide will also help kill virus germs.

Mouthwash and toothpaste are in the cabinets. If there is a mouthwash with alcohol, use it over the one without alcohol.

Because people constantly touch their faces, your face and behind ears need washing with hand soap twice a day.

Use alcohol and/or hydrogen peroxide in your ears.

BEDROOM CLEANING:
Spray disinfectant on pass thru window EVERY time you use it.

Use disinfectant wipes or sprays on whatever you touch daily – tv remotes, computer keyboard and mouse.

Spray Lysol/Clorox disinfectant on furniture, walls, curtains and floor daily. Spray bedding if you can handle the smell. Maybe let it permeate the bedroom while you’re in the bathroom with the door closed and spray the bathroom with the door closed when you’re in the bedroom. Remember the door handle. Don’t spray with widows open – duh.

WINDOWS:
Of course, open the bathroom and front windows for fresh air. Turn on fan to circulate the virus outside. Cross fingers it dies in the sunshine.

DO NOT open porch pass thru window without telling the well person first so the dog can be secured inside the house and the back door shut. Only then can you open the window.

DO NOT have the porch window open except when putting things in or out. Only put things on the tv table placed at the window. Do not put anything on the cement because the pets will lick and rub on it and will walk the virus into the house.

DO NOT leave anything on the window table without telling the well person to get it so the animals do not lick all over everything

LAUNDRY
You will probably just wear underwear so not much to wash. If possible, hand wash them in the tub with dishwashing detergent so they don’t contaminate the washing machine. Hang wet laundry on the shower curtain rod to dry.

If necessary, put dirty laundry into a black garbage bag. Just partially fill so it isn’t too heavy and hard to handle one handed, tie it up loosely so it is easy for the well person to untie it in the laundry room. Try to only touch the tied part so there aren’t germs all over the bag.

Tell the well person you’re putting it outside. Shut the window. Wave hi! And make kissy faces.

FOOD
Put a black garbage bag in the tall black trash can.

Try to lick the plate clean so there’s not so much rot.

Paper plates and plastic forks. Fold the paper plates around the forks so they don’t poke holes in the garbage bag.

When trash needs to go out, tie it tight (not like the loose laundry). Again, touch it as little as possible. Tell well person when you’re putting it out the window.

SNOOPING
Don’t dig and snoop through drawers, cabinets and closet. Just because you’re bored doesn’t mean you need to contaminate anything worse than it already will be. Just don’t.
WELL PERSON:
Immediately get personal items off sink, bedside table and clothes. Spray with disinfectant. Wash clothes.

ISOLATION BEDROOM DOOR
Put brown door sweep under door to block drafts. Cover door with plastic curtains – duct tape two together if need be – fold over the top hook holes and make sure the holes are securely duct taped. Also, duct tape any opening where two curtains are over lapping on BOTH sides. Duct tape curtain to door frame securely or to wall on all four sides. Duct tape top, sides and the carpet floor. NO gaps or openings. Maybe use two rows of duct tap so there is no chance of it falling off the door. It does not matter if tape damages paint.

GLOVES Use nitrile gloves and remove the properly. Have a double bagged white grocery bag to dispose them in and take to an outside closed lidded garbage can. Maybe the old kitchen trash can that has a black garbage bag in it. BURN this in the kettle.

Kitchen gloves are under the kitchen sink if needed.

Use disinfectant frequently on furniture, computer, kitchen, etc. several times a day.

Use care taking anything from the pass thru window. Wear gloves. Don’t let it touch your skin or clothes. Use disinfectant spray.

PORCH PASS THRU WINDOW
Window is to pass food and supplies to sick person.

Wear slip on/flip flops outside. Leave them outside. DO NOT bring them inside. Spray disinfectant on bottoms of shoes and bottoms of feet.

DO NOT be at window when sick person opens window. Don’t open the house door if window is open.

Place one tv tray against porch window and a second one by the rail. Leave gloves and Lysol/Clorox brand disinfectant spray on the second tv tray and use it every time something is passed in or out. Spray both trays, window, cement and door handle.

Leave gloves inside the back door and put them on before exiting. EVERY TIME!

ALWAYS have the back door closed when sick person has pass thru window open. Get the dog inside and away from pass thru window BEFORE sick person opens it.

Use disinfectant wipe or spray disinfectant onto tv tables, widow seal and whatever else thoroughly immediately each time anything is passed through by sick person and immediately after sick person takes anything off it. Think pets.

LAUNDRY
First, open washer door and add OXY type laundry detergent and a cup of bleach before getting laundry bag.

Wear gloves. WASH HANDS. Never touch sick person’s laundry. Watch out for your clothing, face, hands and body.

Retrieve tied black garbage bag of laundry from the table. Only handle it with one hand holding it away from you. In your other hand there should be a disinfectant spray to douse the table, window, door and hit the cement so pets don’t walk germs into the house.

Take it directly to the washer. Make sure it doesn’t touch you. Dump into washer on long wash and on HOT.

Carefully seal garbage bag into another garbage bag. Place into outside old kitchen garbage can and put lid on it securely. BURN IT!

GARBAGE
Wear gloves and be careful of skin and clothing.

Burn it! Don’t contaminate the street side big garbage can. Burn it in the kettle. Move kettle to far end of porch. Close windows, stuff a towel under back door and run clear packing tape or Danny’s fake black duct tape (something not too sticky) around door so smoke doesn’t come into the house. Close one set of curtains.

When finished burning or you have to open the door, FIRST get a double bagged white grocery bag and put on gloves. Then take the tape off carefully not to touch it you or your clothes and secure it into the grocery bag and dispose of it in the outside old kitchen trash can and close the lid. Immediately wash the towel with bleach with hot water and immediately disinfect washer and buttons with wipes or spray. Dry on hot. Use disinfectant spray around outside door and carpet. Spray pass thru window area and cement.

FOOD
Wear gloves to dispose of garbage immediately. Handle it gently with one hand and don’t let it touch your chest or legs or clothes. Burn it. Don’t contaminate the big street side garbage container. Wipe down or spray window and table with your other hand so you don’t have to set anything on the stoop. Animals will walk across the stoop and bring germs to the house.

ISOLATION DOOR and BACK DOOR
Spray Lysol/Clorox disinfectant spray around sealed doorway and carpet twice a day. Continue the spray across the floor to the back door. Spray inside and outside door knobs. Spray the stoop. Spray the window and outside walls around it and back door.

FOOD
Use paper plates, plastic cups and plastic tableware. These are in the big cardboard box in the bottom of the pantry. More plastic tableware is in the last kitchen drawer under the bar.
