I have been on several Princess Cruises.

In my early seventies but definitely in the younger third of the passengers!

Are CNN and MSNBC going to call for the professor to face homicide liability like they called for Pres. Trump?

The only way to have a reliable sense of how infectious and dangerous COVID-19 is, he says, is to test a sample of the population randomly.

YES! This would give them better data AND allow more control over testing, preventing their testing processes from being overwhelmed.

Since we don't have enough tests for every American (just like we can't phone poll every person), we do random sampling by area and demographic, creating a small margin of error, to get a better grasp on the numerator and denominator.

Limit additional testing to those requiring hospitalization with virus symptoms. Shut down drive-through testing for those that are feeling a little sick and simply have a doctor's order. Use THOSE tests to canvas areas and conduct random testing.

It’s pretty clear everyone is operating on a worst-case scenario assumption.

Since the data on this is so effed up they likely see that as the only responsible course.

Worst-case is rarely what happens in reality.

the people i talk to are starting to believe that coronavirus is most likely another swine flu in terms of infectiousness and kill power (this time it’s the very old rather thanthe very young that it takes out), and that the fake stream enemedia is hell bent on trying to drive our economy into a depression to try to take out President Trump, and that they don’t care if they destroy our country and destroy the economic lives of tens of millions of us in the mean time in order to do that ... it’s really their only hope to get a mentally failing Joe Biden elected ...

Nothing short of a nuclear exchange or airborne Ebola justifies this response. Just letting it go through the general population and losing an additional 10,000 octogenarians is better than this reaction. If this is warranted, doing the same thing in September would have been warranted. In a normal flu year taking these measures will save more people from flu death than this will save from Chinaflu death.

Frustrated and trying to avoid the cat, the elephant accidentally jumps off a cliff and dies.

I had a cat like that - bears, big dogs, mailman, didn't matter.

The thing to do is study exactly what is going on in Italy and why the outbreak and death rate there is more than the rest of the numbers we are seeing world wide.

There must one or more factors that are not being seen or maybe ignored in the data and just what is it???????????
