During the NYC riots of the 60s and 70s they closed the liquor stores in all of the surrounding neighborhoods. This reminds me of that.

I could swear I saw booze being purchased in grocery stores in PA near Downingtown. I was visiting there during Thanksgiving.
The move to dictatorship continues. I’m sure they passed an “enabling act” to make it all nice n legal.
Wonder how long till they want the guns? Or revoke all CCW for the duration of the “emergency”?
Oh Good Lord!! Guess I’ll have to get up early and face the hoards so I can have my glass (or several, at this point) of Chardonnay at night. Probably be more than 100 people in every store all day tomorrow. Maybe I’ll score some toilet paper while I’m out.
What an idiotic move!
First they will be breaking into homes to find a bottle. Be armed.
The PA highway patrol will be manning roadblocks at all state line crossings.
In Alabama they had roadblocks at dry county lines catching buyers in wet counties.
This will drive Pennsylvanians to drink...in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and Ohio.
OMG closing liquor stores does ANYONE here think this is just going to far!!
“They took the bar...the whole ^&(#@)$@ bar!!!”
You can buy beer and wine in certain PA grocery stores now. Finally. The State keeps a monopoly in the hard stuff though.
Makes no damn sense. Alcohol kills germs!
I could swear I also saw the hard stuff too. But... old now and can’t trust my eyes. I wasn’t buying so I can’t say for sure.
Pennsauken NJ here we come!
Nope - just wine and beer — and a limited selection.
Harder to control the masses if they are under the influence of alcohol!!!!
Dumb. It’s mostly in the eastern part of the state and around Pittsburgh. I would’ve waited until 3/4 of the counties either had a community spread problem or enacted their own restriction or some of each.
The restrictions may be prudent, but I still believe people like Wolf (PA) and Hogan (MD) are pulling their triggers too soon.
Not that I don’t understand their haste, given that our testing system is atrocious. But they still just put an F-ton of people out of work for a period of time.
Packages contaminated in delivery?
Is Pa like Canada where these are the only stores where by alcohol?
