Dawn dish detergent dissolves fat/grease and probably works pretty good as a hand soap for this, but it will dry your hands out quickly.

Several reports have shown hospitals using Dawn for hand washing.

But it does make reloadable brass cartridges shine like new. That alone is worth the price of admission.

I have been mixing Dawn with water and alcohol for years as hand soap. Cheap, thank God, and foaming dispensers were cheap on Ebay. Does not dry out my hands, though waterless hand cleaner can.
