Off hand, a lot better than Seattle but probably worse per capita than any other metropolitan area in North America, though New York is making a really valiant attempt to compete with Vancouver for silver on a per-capita basis.
Most of the Canuck freepers that I am aware of are fellow Ontarians-—if there is anyone from B.C. it would be great to know.
B.C. just updated after taking Sunday off. Just over 100 for the province, with slightly more than half in Vancouver proper and about half of the remainder in the suburban area to the east of Vancouver. 75 for 2-2.5 million. A good deal better than Seattle. Actually, Toronto proper may be a little worse off than Vancouver whenever they get around to updating their numbers, but that likely depends on how you count city and how you count metropolitan areas.
I’m rusty as an economist, but give me a couple of complex sets of figures that are roughly equally, tell me what result you want presented, and I can probably make a statistical case for whatever you want to argue for.
I think all the Canadian deaths so far are in a B.C. nursing home. Some sites are showing 2 deaths in Manitoba, but as near as I can tell that is a clerical error.

The Ontario daily update at 5:30 was not delivered—instead Ford urged more restrictive behaviour. Ockham’s razor, or conspiracy theory, would point to 60-120 new cases and with definite community transmission going on and that the truth was too hot to handle.
