Legendary NYC fire marshal dies of complications from coronavirus

The legendary fire marshal John Knox, who investigated hundreds of fires, passed away Monday in a Long Island hospital from complications from COVID-19.
Knox, 84, died at Mt. Sinai South Nassau Medical Center in Oceanside about 10 a.m. His death came 19 days after he passed out Feb. 26 from what initially appeared to be the flu.
