If the economy really does tank, and things are still bad in October, everyone knows Trump is the only one who can fix it. This will bring even more democrats to vote for Trump.
I agree. A lot of the flubros are reacting with panic because they think the coronavirus is going to take Trump down. I don’t think that’s the case. Look at what’s going on around the world. What is the first thing that went out of the window when this hit? Globalism. Travel is suspended, EU countries are closing their borders to each other, They’re not sharing medical supplies with each other, the idea of decoupling completely from China is taking hold in this country, etc.
This is the perfect opportunity for Trump to point out that when the SHTF, it quickly became every nation-state for itself. IOW, globalism isn’t the answer, AND EVERYBODY DEEP DOWN KNOWS IT.
This will not be a typical election year where people look at their net worth and vote accordingly. This time it really is different. And, despite the media, dems, deep state, never Trumpers, etc. people are bewildered and perhaps scared. In those times people want strong leadership. They will want the guy who’s been right about this all along.
