Your idea that independent thought, no matter how illogical, is paramount, is what is absurd.

At some point you need to accept outside authority or do the research yourself, but you refuse to do either. You just don’t accept ideas and information you don’t like, evolving crazy conspiracy theories to justify your irrational opposition to basic facts.
